The Quality Control Technician is responsible for the inspection of product at each stage of production and coordinating at all levels for documentation purposes.
Responsibilities:
- Inspects first article, in-process, and final release of product to ensure conformance to customer specifications.
- Conduct periodic rounds to all presses, cutting machines, folders, and pack-outs to ensure conformance of product.
- Verifies that cartons of finished products are properly packed and labeled.
- Performs rub tests and bar code scans when applicable.
- Performs periodic comparator checks of printed products.
- Works with QA Manager to gather information for all internal audits and investigations.
- Assists with the rework of defective product when necessary.
- Keep work area clean and organized.
- Adhere to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s).
- Other duties as assigned.

The Flexo Press Operator is responsible for setting up and operating the printing press to produce labels and related products.
Responsibilities:
- Reads job orders and loads dies into press, installs print cylinder on shaft and installs print cylinder in press.
- Fills ink pans, screens, and pumps with prescribed inks.
- Starts press, adjusting speed and alignment of stock to the print cylinder as necessary.
- Engages print cylinders; adjusts printing impression as necessary, places print cylinders lead-to-lead and runs down approval strip.
- Cuts sample of approval strip from printed roll, inspects for imperfections such as print to print out of register, print to die out of register, missing impression, ink starvation or color adjustments, making corrections as necessary.
- Cleans plates, print cylinders, and dies as needed. Performs daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance as required.
- Mixes inks to produce and maintain desired colors and viscosity.
- Keeps work areas clear and organized; maintains housekeeping standards.

The Offset Sheetfed Pressman is responsible for directing the Press crew and performing manual and machine operator tasks related to the set-up, maintenance, and operations of the press. This role reports to the Pressroom Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Makes ready and operates offset printing press.
- Examines job order to determine quantity to be printed, stock specifications, colors, and special printing instructions.
- Examines offset printing plate for visual defects and applies techniques to repair minor defects or informs supervisor of unrepairable plates.
- Applies packing sheet to blanket cylinder to build up blanket thickness to diameter of plate cylinder.
- Measures paper thickness and adjusts space between blanket and impression cylinders according to thickness of paper stock.
- Prints on light weight paper including 24# and 27# stock.
- Adjusts controls to regulate flow of ink and dampening solution to plate cylinder.
- Starts press, examines printed copy for ink density, position on paper and registration, and makes adjustments to press throughout production run to maintain specific registration and color density.
- Makes adjustments to feeder and delivery mechanism.
- Removes and replaces worn rollers and adjusts pressure between rollers of press, using hand tools.
- Leads, gives directions to, trains, and monitors work of press crew.
- Performs job duties in accordance with company safety rules.
- Performs proper and required maintenance as well as cleaning of press.

Responsibilities:
- Follows guidance and direction from the Folder Technician.
- Understands ISO and complies with written procedures.
- Follows daily schedule for workload and communicates problems or concerns, assisting in resolutions in a timely manner.
- Ensures make-ready times and materials used are minimized through proper planning of work.

The Offset Sheetfed Pressman is responsible for directing the Press crew and performing manual and machine operator tasks related to the set-up, maintenance and operations of the press. This role reports to the Pressroom Manager.
Responsibilities
- Makes ready and operates offset printing press.
- Examines job order to determine quantity to be printed, stock specifications, colors, and special printing instructions.
- Examines offset printing plate for visual defects and applies techniques to repair minor defects or informs supervisor of unrepairable plates.
- Applies packing sheet to blanket cylinder to build up blanket thickness to diameter of plate cylinder.
- Measures paper thickness and adjusts space between blanket and impression cylinders according to thickness of paper stock.
- Adjusts controls to regulate flow of ink and dampening solution to plate cylinder.
- Starts press, examines printed copy for ink density, position on paper and registration, and makes adjustments to press throughout production run to maintain specific registration and color density.
- Makes adjustments to feeder and delivery mechanism.
- Removes and replaces worn rollers and adjusts pressure between rollers of press, using hand tools.
- Leads, gives directions to, trains, and monitors work of press crew.
- Performs job duties in accordance with company safety rules.
- Performs proper and required maintenance as well as cleaning of press.

This role is responsible for packaging and preparation for shipping all converted products which includes labeling, boxing, packing list's and the wrapping of skids.
