We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Manager to join our Franklin, TN team! The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment such as printing presses, rewinders, motors, pneumatic tools, and production machines and other equipment by performing the following duties.

 

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, rebuild and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment used in production and related services, maximizing production time and minimizing down time.
• Assist in developing and organizing preventive maintenance program.
• Assist in prioritizing, scheduling and delegating work assignments of assigned personnel to ensure quality work is performed at the lowest possible cost, while monitoring and meeting company standards for quality and performance.
• Communicate daily with the Operations Manager, Supervisors and production personnel to review equipment performance.

• Perform root cause analysis, as needed, to increase serviceability and reliability of equipment to increase performance.
• Develop and maintain positive employee relations and ensure open lines of communications with employees.
• Control labor, material and part expenses within budgetary constraints.
• Order parts and supplies as needed. Request adequate tooling, hardware and supplies necessary to perform work.
• Assist to determine the nature and scope of forthcoming related projects and the requirements for completion. Complete assigned projects as scheduled.
• Maintain technical competency and remain current in technology and changes in the industry. This to include: PLC/Controls/Drive’s and Servo experience.
• Communicate daily with Operations Manager and Supervisors on general plant conditions and matters of importance which could impact quality, cost, and safety or employee morale.
• Ensure all safety, work rules, regulations and housekeeping standards are followed.
• Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
• Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
• Be available for any emergencies and on-call to respond as required to meet the needs for any onsite emergency.
• Manage Maintenance Department employees.

 

Qualifications

• Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and a minimum of five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• At least five years of relevant experience working in a manufacturing environment, printing or packaging experience strongly preferred
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and speak effectively before groups of vendors or employees
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
