Resource Label Group is seeking an Outside Sales Consultant, focusing primarily on our Engineered Products business - which includes durable and precision die cut parts - and will work to improve RLG’s market position and achieve financial growth targets 

 

The Outside Sales Consultant will build key customer relationships, identify new business opportunities, negotiate, close business deals and maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions. This individual will focus on three key areas for Engineered Products sales: New Business Development, Customer Retention and Account Planning. This role is highly collaborative as it requires interaction with various staff throughout the organization, both internal and external. The ideal candidate will be comfortable traveling within and outside their assigned geographical scope and primarily support sales growth out of our Minneapolis, MN and Fountain Valley, CA facilities. An ideal candidate will be based in the Midwest, including: Iowa, lllinois, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota, and Wisconsin.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and develop new business through strategic prospecting 
  • Develop tactical plans to maintain and expand services with existing and assigned accounts 
  • Proactively identify new customers and new project opportunities 
  • Act as a liaison between customer and organization throughout the sales and production process 
  • Establish high-level relationships and gain a clear understanding of customers’ business and requirements 
  • Provides regular reporting to management on customer and industry trends, challenges, etc. 
  • Updates and maintains sales activity, as well as customer and prospect information within Salesforce CRM 
  • Maintain regular contact with customers to answer questions and provide information regarding new products, capabilities, and services 
  • Conducts quarterly business reviews 
  • Forecast and meet monthly and annual sales targets 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years professional experience in selling and printing.  
  • Must have demonstrated experience in the durable labels and industrial vertical markets.  
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of printing – preferably flexographic, digital and screen. 
  • Must have excellent organizational skills, communication skills, and ability to resolve problems. 
  • Must have a positive demeanor and work well with customers and company employees. 
  • Must be able to sit, stand, and drive for extended periods of time as required. 
  • A personal vehicle is required for transportation relating to sales transactions. 
  • Must be highly organized, self-motivated and detail oriented. 
  • Must be driven to succeed and work well in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.
