Resource Label Group is seeking a Plant Manager to join our Paragon Label team. The Plant Manager will oversee all aspects of the manufacturing process at our Petaluma, CA plant, in a manner that will drive productivity, meet scheduling requirements, and minimize costs. A qualified individual will achieve this all while fostering a positive work environment and a strong safety culture.   

Responsibilities

  • Provide strong leadership and guidance to all members of staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the Production team. 
  • Plans and directs production activities and establishes production priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors. 
  • Coordinates production activities with procurement, maintenance and quality control activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines and equipment. 
  • Reviews and analyzes production, quality control, maintenance and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications and operating or production problems. 
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize productivity, efficiency, and quality standards within the manufacturing departments.  
  • Set clear performance objectives and provide regular feedback to ensure alignment with company goals and address performance issues fairly and constructively. 
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production efficiency, quality, and costs. Provide regular reports to senior management.  
  • Ensure production schedules are met by optimizing workflow, addressing bottlenecks, and implementing best practices across departments. Consults with engineering personnel relative to modification of machines and equipment in order to improve production and quality of products. 
  • Ensure adherence to all budgetary requirements and goals.  

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, with a minimum of six years’ experience leading a production team. 
  • Proven experience in operations management within the printing industry, experience in the wine industry is a plus. 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Experience utilizing Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques. 
  • Experience working in a ISO Certified facility is a plus. 
  • Proficiency in implementing lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. 
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals. 
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
