We are seeking a Credit Manager to oversee the Company’s credit and collections function, ensuring the efficient assessment of creditworthiness, timely collections, and risk mitigation. This individual will work closely with Finance, Sales, and Operations teams to support revenue growth while maintaining sound credit practices. 

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate customer creditworthiness using financial analysis, credit reports, trade references, and internal risk assessments. 
  • Establish and manage credit limits and payment terms in line with company policy and risk tolerance. 
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging and proactively manage collections to minimize past due balances and bad debt. 
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to facilitate payment resolution and build trust. 
  • Partner with the sales team to address credit issues and support strategic customer relationships. 
  • Maintain and enforce credit policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance. 
  • Recommend and execute legal or third-party actions on delinquent accounts when necessary. 
  • Collaborate with auditors and provide necessary documentation during internal and external audits. 
  • Generate and present reports on AR status, credit exposure, and risk analysis to senior leadership. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field 
  • 5+ years of experience in credit management, preferably in a manufacturing or B2B environment. 
  • Strong understanding of credit principles, financial statement analysis, and risk evaluation. 
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel. 
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Familiarity with lien rights and collections laws is a plus. 
  • Advanced Excel skills for financial modeling and data analysis.
