RLG Healthcare division is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to join our growing team in the Northeast! This role is pivotal in driving the growth of our pharmaceutical and healthcare solutions portfolio by securing new clients and forging strong, lasting relationships with existing ones. The Sales Representative will identify new business opportunities (prospecting, lead generation, opportunities from previous book of business), negotiate and close business deals, and maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions. The ideal candidate will be located in the upper Mid-Atlantic region, NJ/NY, and/or in the MA/CT area.

 

The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record in sales, a strategic mindset, and the ability to effectively solve complex problems and offer tailored solutions that address specific needs of the customers. The successful Sales Representative will sell the services of the RLG Healthcare group which includes an emphasis on Pharmaceutical commercial printing and packaging and associated sheetfed (UV & conventional) offset printing, flexo, direct mail services, fulfillment and kitting, digital, print-on-demand, and technology related solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and engage prospective clients using diverse sources such as industry ads, trade shows, and digital platforms.
  • Balance prospecting for longer term prospects with short term focus on winning incremental business in the current year.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to broaden our footprint with existing clients while maintaining exceptional service levels.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between clients and RLG Healthcare, ensuring seamless communication and service delivery throughout the sales and production cycles.
  • Craft and deliver compelling presentations and conduct site tours to showcase our capabilities and innovations.
  • Manage the RFP process, coordinate with internal teams to formulate competitive quotes and contracts, and oversee the implementation of agreed-upon terms.
  • Provide insightful reports on market trends, customer feedback, and industry challenges to inform strategic decisions.
  • Maintain meticulous records of sales activities and client interactions within Salesforce CRM.
  • Organize and participate in customer training and quarterly business reviews to ensure client satisfaction and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets.

Qualifications

  • Proven expertise in new business development and account management (small and large accounts) with a focus on pharmaceutical, healthcare, and nutraceutical industries. Experience with longer selling cycles in a B2B environment is also highly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required, plus minimum 3-5 years of outside B2B sales experience in packaging, printing, or direct marketing. Pharmaceutical sales required.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, persuasion, and communication skills, capable of engaging effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and driven by an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Proficient in competitive market analysis and adept at navigating industry trends and dynamics.
  • Advanced computer skills and familiarity with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
  • Required to travel within the assigned territory; valid driver’s license necessary.
