We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Material Handler to join our team. The Material Handler will be responsible for handling all printed pharmaceutical materials, including loading and unloading trucks, operating a forklift, and transporting materials between manufacturing facilities.

 

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a forklift to load and unload trucks. 
  • Handle, wrap, and secure pallets of raw materials and finished goods. 
  • Transport materials between manufacturing facilities using a company vehicle. 
  • Ensure all materials are wrapped, labeled, and handled with care in compliance with company standards. 
  • Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
  • Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
  • Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Opens bales, crates, and other containers.
  • Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
  • Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of transported materials. 
  • Perform basical vehicle checks, reporting any maintenance issues to supervisor. 
  • Ensure timely delivery of all materials while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in warehouse operations or delivery driving preferred
  • Ability to live and move heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
