We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead our commitment to quality, operational efficiency, and excellence at Pamco Label in Des Plaines, IL. The ideal candidate will provide specialized technical expertise in support of the Quality programs, including specialized inspection & testing techniques, quality training, statistical methods, audits, quality tools for problem-solving and assessment.
Implement corporate-sponsored best practices for quality assurance processes.
Responsible for planning, execution, and follow-up of quality audits as a tool for assuring process compliance and identifying areas for performance and quality improvement.
Coordinates and conducts internal quality audits and assists with the review of results.
Investigates customer complaints regarding quality and ensures appropriate action and customer satisfaction.
Ensure expertise and support to the business unit on safety matters.
Monitor legal changes locally and global developments in safety matters and initiate necessary actions.
Plan, document, and follow up on the implementation of safety processes and procedures.
Monitor the safety auditing process and conduct regular workplace visits.
Maintain accident & near miss incident investigation process and monitor the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.
Investigate accidents, injuries, and near-misses.
Conduct root cause analyses and develop corrective action plans.
Maintain emergency response plans, including evacuation maps and drills.
Ensure availability and inspection of emergency equipment (fire extinguishers, eye wash stations, first aid kits).
Train employees on lockout/tagout (LOTO), PPE, forklift safety, fire safety, chemical handling, and emergency procedures.
Ensure safety orientation is completed for all new hires.
Keep records of training, inspections, safety data sheets (SDS), and safety incidents.
Ensure safety documentation is up to date and accessible.
Gather and act on employee safety concerns and improvement ideas.
Recognize safe behaviors and lead employee engagement in safety initiatives.
Provide day-to-day leadership to the team and define performance objectives to ensure desired behaviors/results are achieved.
Promote and develop our Safety and Quality culture, actively communicate the importance of Safety and Quality, and engage the organization.
Partner with operations to embed safety into daily routines.
Chair or support the internal Safety Committee.
4+ years of relatable experience in manufacturing
Proficient understanding of OSHA standards and guidelines
Comprehensive knowledge of worker's compensation accident investigations
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Will respond to emergency call-out and on-call situations and/or provide service during normal office hours, nights, weekends, as needed.
