We are seeking an innovative Billing Specialist to join our Garner, NC facility. This individual will grow and develop their skills working alongside our Plant Controller in a fast-paced and expanding manufacturing environment and will be responsible for all Accounts Receivable functions within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all day-to-day Accounts Receivable functions, including billing, collections, and customer set-up.
  • Manage invoicing process across multiple revenue streams.
  • Run various A/R, profitability, and other reports on a regular basis for Management.
  • Work closely with internal accounting staff and other corporate locations to ensure accuracy of intercompany transactions.
  • General Ledger journal entries as assigned.
  • Assist in research of expense variances on financial statements.
  • Facilitate external audits by maintaining accurate records and providing requested information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Controller and Management.

Qualifications

  • Effective organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Strong use of Excel and other Office software applications.
  • Ability to learn new software applications, familiarity with integrated ERP systems a plus.
  • Familiarity with North Carolina sales and use tax law.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, written and verbal.
  • Assertive and polite interpersonal manner.
  • Knowledge and Understanding of GAAP, some General Ledger experience a plus.
  • Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager.
  • Prompt and regular attendance.
  • Associates Degree or equivalent experience
  • 1-3 years of accounting experience within a manufacturing setting
