We are hiring a Quality & Safety leader and champion for our Sandy, UT facility. Internal voice of the customer. Self-motivated, relentless, results-driven, improvement engine. Finds, accumulates, and analyzes data and evidence, transforming these into actionable information, and acts on that information to drive quality and safety improvement. Analyzes and solves problems, issues, costs and other data, and applies statistical methods for process control, optimization, and safety. Is, or is willing to become, a certified Lean Six Master Black Belt.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 4-year technical degree, or 8+ years of practical experience demonstrating mastery of safety and quality, both improvement and assurance.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, requirements, geometric dimensions and tolerances, designs documents, ergonomic best practices, safety rules,
operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to build and populate reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with groups of employees.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Probability and statistics, particularly as these pertain to statistical process control, sampling plans, defect and injury rates, etc.
REASONING ABILITY The “voice of the customer”. Putting oneself in the perspective of the customer, and reasoning through solutions to meet or exceed customer expectations. Solving problems in a way that is good for our customers, our employees, and ongoing financial performance. Brings original and creative ideas. Follows a data-driven, logic approach to deliver tangible, positive results.
