We are currently recruiting for a Bindery Help (Machine and Handwork) to join our 1st shift team! The Bindery Inspector will quality check of all the converted products. This role is responsible for packaging and preparation for shipping all converted products which includes labeling, boxing, packing list's and the wrapping of skids. They will also operate shrink-wrapping, padding, round cornering and stitching equipment as required.

Responsibilities

  • Inspects all finished products to ensure quality integrity prior to being prepared for shipment.
  • Prepares all finished products for shipment which includes boxing, taping, labeling, preparing a packing list, shrink-wrapping and banding when necessary.
  • Performs ancillary bindery operations; cutting; punching; shrink-wrapping; stitching; padding; and round cornering as required.
  • Performs process related trouble-shooting and correction; monitors production.
  • Understands proper safety procedures regarding operation of all bindery equipment.
  • Performs routine preventative maintenance and documents in maintenance binder.
  • Assists in clean up and keeping work area neat and orderly.
  • Performs other duties as requested.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of three years or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • One year of previous experience working in a manufacturing or logistics environment preferred.
  • One plus year in a bindery or shipping role preferred.
  • Must be able to read and interpret ruler, scales and other measurement devices.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and frequently is required to walk.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with or without mechanical assistance.
