We are currently seeking a Process Engineer to join our team at Litho Flexo Grafics. This individual makes the “impossible”, simple. Masterfully produces simple, streamlined, consistent, and efficient processes that produce high yield, high quality output. Self-motivated, results-driven, improvement engine.

Responsibilities

  • Poka yoke ninja
  • Process owner, 100%, no excuses mindset
  • Uses scientific and technical knowledge to build proposals, justifications, and solutions for new manufacturing capabilities and to optimize existing processes, workflows, material flows, routings, setups, changeovers, etc
  • Distills complex operations, processes, “tribal knowledge”, specifications, etc into simple to execute, well defined, well documented, safe, repeatable, reliable, mistake-proof processes, which produce consistent, high quality output
  • Is a lean, six sigma, 5S, kaizen, value stream mapping, and statistical analysis expert and relentlessly finds, attacks, eliminates, and minimizes all forms of waste and variation, to produce and continuously improve lean, streamlined, consistent processes
  • Aggressively drives a prevention mindset to build quality into processes, products, and services
  • Drives to minimize, and continuously improve, total order-to-ship times
  • Is “cool under fire”, focuses teams and team members on a logical, data-driven approach to problem solving and problem prevention
  • Coaches and mentors others to permeate this mindset throughout the organization
  • Actively solicits feedback from, and communicates changes to, all stakeholders
  • Keeps up to date on the latest technologies, innovations, methodologies, and best practices
  • Leverages new technologies and innovations to improve processes
  • Finds, evaluates, and implements ergonomic and safety improvements
  • Resolves process-related issues and maximizes equipment availability
  • Drives root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions to completion
  • Leads process validation activities, certifying compliance with all specifications and requirements, and demonstrating process capability to consistently produce defect-free product
  • Provides training and guidance to production teams on new processes, procedures, and equipment to ensure successful implementation and operation
  • Performs time studies and estimates for quotes and standards
  • Investigates and resolves variances between standards and actuals
  • Leads cross-functional teams
  • Develops and drives project plans and timelines

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

4-year degree in engineering or hard science, or 8+ years of practical experience demonstrating mastery of one or more engineering disciplines.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, requirements, geometric dimensions and tolerances, designs documents, ergonomic best practices, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to build and populate reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with groups of employees.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Hard core. Loves Greek letters and jargon. No puzzle is unsolvable; every problem has a solution.
