Resource Label Group is currently recruiting for a Human Resources Generalist to join our team! The HR Generalist will provide overall support to our manufacturing facility located in Buffalo, NY, always ensuring a safe environment while administering policies relating to all phases of human resources. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience working in a manufacturing, logistics or similar type of environment.

Responsibilities

  • Administers payroll by verifying hours worked in accordance with state laws, experience utilizing ADP Workforce Now is preferred.
  • Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures and reporting are in compliance.
  • Assists in recruiting functions, including holding interviews & administering tests to fill vacant hourly positions using ICIMS ATS system.
  • Provides data reports to management as needed.
  • Responds to employee questions and inquiries regarding basic payroll and benefit policies and procedures.
  • Assists in new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
  • Assists in safety training, incident reporting, and compliance, and submits reports for insurance carrier.
  • Maintains employee records. Organizes and maintains filing systems.
  • Completes FMLA and other leave paperwork as requested.
  • Maintains leave, PTO and sick time tracking.
  • Supports the Regional HR leader.
  • Supports employee engagement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR or a related field is strongly preferred, however a combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • 1+ years experience in a similar HR role.
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing or similar environment is a huge plus.
  • Have a "can do" attitude, meet challenges with a positive demeanor and takes initiative.
  • Must have strong Microsoft Office proficiency especially in Word and Excel.
  • HRIS experience in ADP Workforce is desired.
