We are currently recruiting a hands-on Senior Accountant that will be responsible for coordinating all accounting activities at our Windsor, NJ location. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated hands-on accounting experience with full cycle accounting including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, account reconciliations, general ledger, and month-end closings. The senior accountant position will work alongside the site lead team to ensure all business needs are met from an accounting perspective.

 

This position would provide all qualified candidates an opportunity to grow and develop from a professional doing accounting work to a role that includes financial analysis, cost variance analysis, standard cost modeling and becoming a true business partner for the site GM.  

 

Responsibilities:

  • Hands on involvement of all general accounting functions
  • Preparation of month-end and year-end close process for the site including journal entries, reconciliations and financial statements
  • Filing all statutory reporting, sales and use tax and other tax returns
  • Preparation of daily and weekly performance reports and operational metrics for distribution to management
  • Process all billing and accounts payable for the site
  • Maintain Fixed Asset register
  • Monitoring the internal control environment
  • Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) or equivalent in accounting/finance
  • 4+ years of experience in accounting
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office software. 
  • Experience with general ledger packages of integrated ERP systems
